Beekman Street Palace

At 5 Beekman Street in Manhattan, there is a large but unassuming building that is completely empty and abandoned, with much of the interior shuttered since 1940. Few are allowed inside, depriving the general public of the ability to witness its surprisingly stunning interior – and it won’t be this way for long, as it was recently purchased by hotelier André Balasz.
